Investment Permanent Residence Visa EB-5 South Dakota Program

Steve Maggi & Associates is proud to be an official South American representative and recruiter for the South Dakota EB-5 Program. This program qualifies as a ‘targeted employment area, therefore only requiring an investment of US$500,000, and is sanctioned by the South Dakota government. In addition, instead of traditional 10 job creations per investor, the South Dakota EB-5 Program only requires 4 direct job creations because indirect jobs created are also credited and counted.

SMA has placed several successful candidates and secured clients’ green cards and put them on the road to U.S. citizenship through this program. The program works with the South Dakota International Business Institute/Dairy Economic Development Region to identify projects which need investment in order to take off and prosper. SMA brings the clients into the program, allowing the client to make an investment with good chances of making profit while simultaneously securing a green card and legal permanent residence in the U.S.

The investment utilizes pooling arrangements. The regulations specifically allow immigrant investors to pool their investments with others seeking EB-5 status. Each investor is required to invest the applicable statutory amount. All of the new jobs created by the new commercial enterprise will be allocated among those within the pool with permanent investor visas.

This visa allows the investors and his/her family members to live in the U.S. as permanent residents. After conditional residence period of two years is finished, they will receive regular permanent resident card after submitting their removal of condition. The investor may also apply for U.S. citizenship after 5 years. The investor is not required to live in South Dakota, and may live anywhere in the U.S., and the investor is not required to have a hands-on role or participation in the business.
